Young dance students of the Rhapsody Dance Centre returned to the basin after 10 days of competition at the 2022 South African Championships of the Performing Arts with several medals around their necks. The 25th edition of the competition was held in Rustenburg from Friday 30 September to Sunday 9 October. Rhapsody dancers delivered very significant results, with Sulize van der Westhuizen (girls five to 12), Daniel Neethling (boys five to 12) and Baylen Boer (girls 13 to 16) being crowned overall division winners. Daniel was also crowned the overall junior male dancer of the competition, Antoinette de Villiers won the award for best provincial director and Mieke Carr received a special recognition award. In total, the dancers of the Strand studio brought home 30 gold, 16 silver and 156 bronze medals.
