Subcouncil 8 chairperson Chantal Cerfontein, Ward 83 councillor Carl Punt, James Vos (City of Cape Town’s Acting Mayoral Committee member for Human Settlements) pictured with an elated Sophia Prins, who was one of many Lourensia Park Housing Project residents, who received the title deeds to their homes during a special handover ceremony on Monday 31 July. “I was overjoyed to be part of this special celebration as we handed over title deeds to beneficiaries in Somerset West,” said Vos. “We are absolutely committed to enabling redress and transformation, and we will continue to hand over many more title deeds to qualifying beneficiaries over the coming weeks and months in areas across the metro. This project has provided opportunities to 150 qualifying beneficiaries. It is an excellent example of what hard work and dedication really means. Thank you to our communities, City teams and project steering committee for the hard work and dedication during the completion of this project.”
