The Lwandle police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man was found hanging from a tree.

According to spokesperson Sergeant Mthokozisi Gama, police were alerted to the incident around 08:00 last Thursday (4 May) after community members discovered the man hanging from the tree in an open field next to the N2, outside Nomzamo. “An inquest docket was opened as no foul play is suspected,” he said. “The body of the 22-year-old deceased was taken by forensic experts to confirm the cause of death.”
