More than R100 000 raised for school’s e-learning

The alumni of Strand Moslem Primary School (SMPS) handed a cheque over to the school at its 95th anniversary celebrations hosted at the Iqraa Hall in Hammond Street on Thursday 15 June.

The alumni of Strand Moslem Primary School (SMPS) handed a cheque over to the school at its 95th anniversary celebrations hosted at the Iqraa Hall in Hammond Street on Thursday 15 June. The funds, amounting to R122 463,10 in total, will go towards the schools e-learning project, which entails the purchase of monitors for several classrooms. Convener of the SMPS Alumni, Sharifa Daniels, extended a word of thanks and appreciation to all donors, made up of mostly ex-learners, saying the school was immensely grateful for their helping the school reach new heights.
