Helderberg Hospice was the recipient of six brand-new wheelchairs thanks to the Rotary E-Club of Greater Cape Town, Rotary Wheelchair Foundation, Margot Pickard Foundation and Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club on Tuesday 24 January. The donation was made possible thanks to the Rotary E-Club of Greater Cape Town’s partnership with the Rotary Wheelchair Foundation and funding from the Margot Pickard Foundation. “We at Helderberg Sunrise owe a debt of gratitude to Josie Norfolk for the important part she played in making this happen,” said Gail Sykes of Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club. The six wheelchairs, which formed part of a donation of 230 wheelchairs, will be used by hospice patients as needed and managed by Thandi Sililo, nursing services manager at Helderberg Hospice.
