Macassar police, in partnership with the sub-district Metro-East junior management core, Metro police and the provincial anti-gang unit embarked on a safer-schools and social-crime prevention initiative launched at Zandvliet High School on Thursday 9 March. Coordinated by Warrant Officer Desire Adendolf, it was well received by school staff and learners. As part of the initiative officers addressed bullying, substance abuse and gang influence. Learners were informed of the consequences of wrongful actions and being accountable for ill-decision making.
