The Hottentots Holland Cricket Club (HHCC) first team faced Yorkshire CC at Chukker Road Sports Ground in Lansdowne on Saturday (4 February).
The visitors won the toss, batted first and scored 269/9 in 50 overs thanks to contributions by Hishaam Slamdien (73) and Abdul Aziz Temoor (60).
In the bowling department, HHCC was in good form as they bowled out Yorkshire for 145 runs. Guillaume Jansen dismissed both the host’s openers for cheap, while Temoor bagged 4/18 runs in his side’s 124-run bonus-point victory.
The HHCC second team were in action against Belhar CC, who batted first and scored 272 in 50 overs. Tauriq Oliver picked up four wickets for HHCC.
HHCC were all bowled out for 205, with brothers Abu Bakr (51) and Zakarieyya Brinkhuis (41) top scoring.
The HHCC thirds faced Cape Town CC, who batted first and scored 222/3 in 35 overs. HHCC chased down the tally with relative ease thanks to Ismodeen Brinkhuis (57), Dawood Josephs (50), Shakeel Railoun (37), Yusri Jabodien (30) and Ilyaas Petersen (27).
