False Bay High School’s top matriculants for 2022 (from left) are Mihlali Mbalo, Siya Bokwe, Mieke-Jade Murray and Paula Finnie, the mother of Eli Finnie who was present to receive his award. “We are incredibly proud of these students’ hard work and dedication that led to this epic achievement,” principal Herman Janse van Rensburg said. “You have set a shining example for your peers and have shown that with perseverance and determination anything is possible.” Mieke-Jade is the top learner with an average of 89,9% and distinctions in all her subjects, followed by Eli in second place and Mihlali and Siya in joint third place. Mieke-Jade’s academic achievements are as follows: English home language 81%, Afrikaans first additional language 88%, mathematics 89%, life orientation 93%, physical sciences 88%, life sciences 88% and visual arts 88%. Eli achieved an A for mathematical literacy, while Siya and Mihlali both got As for tourism.
