- Somerset West: The U3A MONEY MATTERS GROUP meets at the Somerset West United church, on the corner of Andries Pretorius and Bright streets, from 10:00 to 12:00. The topic is “Property: The best is yet to come – Choosing the right move for the next stage” and will cover an overview of the Helderberg property market; what to consider to help make an informed decision with your next property step; and property ownership types and options. The presentation will be delivered by Jan Myburgh, operating partner at Harcourts Platinum. Members are required to wear their membership cards and pay R10. The cost for visitors is R15. FRIDAY 6 JUNE
- Strand: The 60+ NETWORK NPC, in partnership with iSIMPLIFI, hosts a free computer-training workshop for seniors. It will take place at Strand Library in Mills Street from 11:30 to 12:30. The monthly session focuses on connecting, uplifting, educating and supporting seniors on their journey to become more comfortable with technology. “We learn, we play, we grow” is the guiding philosophy behind the nteractive workshop, which forms part of a series aimed to empower participants with essential digital skills in a friendly, supportive environment. Due to the hands-on nature of the training, capacity is limited for the free workshop. - Somerset-Wes: Die HELDERBERG-SENIORSKLUB kom om 09:00 vir tee en verversings en om 09:30 vir samesang en die program by die NG kerk Helderberg in Firmountweg byeen. Die gasspreker Andreas Groenewald, ‘n toergids en die eienaar van Gantouw-toere, spreek besoekers toe oor fynbos. Alle belangstellende afgetredenes word hartlik na die byeenkoms uitgenooi.
