Helderberg Hospice recently received a generous gift of 30 soft, warm blankets from the Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club.
Rotary president Gail Sykes presented the blankets to Sister Thandi Sililo, head of nursing services at Helderberg Hospice, along with the dedicated home care nursing team. These blankets will be delivered directly to patients in the community who are in need of warmth and comfort during the cold, wet winter months. For many, living with the symptoms of serious illness is already a daily challenge – one that is made even harder by difficult living conditions. The thoughtful donation will help ease their discomfort and bring a measure of relief and dignity.
